Summer Tournament Week 3

The registration for the Summer Tournament is now CLOSED. we have 24 people in the open section, and 8 in the U 1200. Prizes are $72 for first, $36 for second and $12 for thied in the Open, and 24, 12, and 4 for the under 1200 section. This week featured 15 games. For a complete list of result see John Moldovan's Chess Coroner posting. Mark Kernighan and John Moldovan are in the lead in the open with 2.5 points, follower by Greg Tomkovich and Joe Renna with 2 each , and Ian Mangion, Don Carelli and Laukik Gadgil with 1.5. In the under 1200 section Andy Altamirano has 4 points, and Joe Azzarello has 2.

Summer Tournament Week 2

We had 5 additional entries in each section this week, bringing the open to 21 players and the U 1200 section to 8. Obviously there will be no need to merge the sections. Thursday June 23 will be the last day to enter the tournament, NO ENTRIES WILL BE ACCEPTED AFTER JUNE 23.

Summer Tourney Starts Tomorrow

The Kenilworth Chess Club's fun, friendly, yet highly competitive Summer Tournament starts tomorrow night at 9:15 p.m. This year we will have 2 sections: Open and U1200.
